Suicide Prevention

This video was made by John Stremmel, a Sailor stationed at Naval Station Great Lakes, as portion of the Navy’s year-old peer mentoring program, “Coalition of Sailors Against Destructive Choices” (CSADD), which focuses on helping junior Sailors make much better choices. CSADD encourages positive influence and behavior even though at the same time bringing together on-line and in-person networking with peer interaction. All commands are encouraged to promote this plan which practices informed choice producing and reinforces the notion of shipmates helping shipmates. If you, or someone you know, are at risk for suicide, get the facts and take appropriate action. Contact the Great Lakes Fleet and Family Support Center at (847) 688-3603 for support.
